About

The Hong Kong Bio-Med Innotech Association (HKBMIA) has successfully applied to the Trade and Industry Department (TID) for the Trade and Industrial Organisation Support Fund (TSF) to organise a project on “To improve the competitiveness of local bio-med industry by strengthening its connection with global high-end bio-med industry”. The project lasted for one year and 1 “Kick-off Seminar on Biotechnology Innovation and Translation Project”, 10 Hong Kong Biotechnology Training Courses covering topics such as investment and patent protection for biopharmaceutical enterprises, commercialisation and technology transfer of biopharmaceuticals, as well as the “Shanghai-Suzhou Biomedical Study Mission” and the “GBA Biomedical Study Mission” have been organised. The seminars, study tours and the training courses were well attended and highly appreciated by the industry.

The final event of the project, the “Thematic Seminar on Biotechnology Innovation and Translation Project”, is planned to be held on 26 February 2025. It will share a series of achievements of the project, including the feedback from the two biomedical study missions and training courses, and conduct presentations and discussions on the industry's hotspots, to explore the next step of the biopharmaceutical industry's innovations and the direction of its future development.
